Cream Cheese Filled Chocolate Chip Brownies
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Cream Cheese Filling:
1 8-ounce container cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 large egg yolk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and then grease an 8 inch square pan.
To make brownie batter, in a large bowl, blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time.
Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually blend into the egg mixture.
Spread half the batter into the prepared pan.
Prepare the cream cheese mixture by adding all indredients into a small bowl and beating till smooth. Then, drop by spoonfuls on top of the brownie batter.
Cover the cream cheese layer with the rest of the brownie batter.
Bake in preheated oven for 40minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Let brownies cool and enjoy:)
