"Two day process"

Serves 4-5 | Prep Time about 10 minutes | Cook Time about 30 minutes total

Why I Love This Recipe

Very delicious and good on a cold day.


Ingredients You'll Need

2 chicken breasts
1/4 cup celery, diced
1/4 cup onion, chopped finely
1 teaspoon minced garlic
3 cups water
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup all purpose flour
chicken stock from earlier
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper(or to taste)


Directions

1) Prepare vegetables as described
2) Place chicken into pot, add your prepared vegetables and water
3) Bring to a boil and turn down the heat. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes
4) Remove from heat and allow to cool
5) Strain stock; DO NOT throw away water/stock, use colander & a bowl
6) Cut chicken up and place back into colander with vegetables
7) Melt butter in large saucepan
8) Add flour mixing well
9) Cook for 1-2 minutes
10) Add milk and chicken stop, mix
11) Cook and stir until mixture thickens and comes to a boil
12) Reduce heat and stir in chicken, vegetables, and remaining seasonings
13) Adjust seasonings to taste
14) Cook over low heat for 5 minutes

Bread; half sandwhich
