- 1 cup uncooked cream of wheat
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- Mix well and add:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cooking oil
- Stir gently and do not overbeat. Grease pan and bake 400
- degrees until top is golden brown. this is crisp and crunchy.
- (better than corn bread)
- Note: I've made in muffin tin. It's a great breakfast bread. It kind of tastes like a sugar cookie. Good fresh out of the oven, and yes, kinda like cornbread as far as texture.
