Creamy Apple Crisp

 


CATEGORIES

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups of tart apples, cored, peeled, and sliced
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup of sour cream
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • Crumb Topping
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup of quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Core, peel, and slice your apples. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside. Mix the remaining ingredients together, up to the Crumb Topping ingredients. Fold apples into mixture. Spread into a 2 quart baking dish.



topping: Cut the butter into the topping ingredients until the mixture resembles crumbs. Sprinkle over the top of the apples.



Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown
