CREAMY APPLE CRISP

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of tart apples, cored, peeled, and sliced
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup of sour cream
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • Crumb Topping
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup of quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

Directions

  • Core, peel, and slice your apples. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside. Mix the remaining ingredients together, up to the Crumb Topping ingredients. Fold apples into mixture. Spread into a 2 quart baking dish.
  • topping: Cut the butter into the topping ingredients until the mixture resembles crumbs. Sprinkle over the top of the apples.
  • Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown
