This is kind of a family joke, it is Cristel’s favorite jello, but she can’t make it – or at least that’s what she claims – I think it is may be a case of her being crafty enough to get the rest of us to just make it for her!


  • 1 large box black cherry jello
  • 1 can pitted black cherries – drained but juice reserved
  • 1 8oz unsweetened heavy whipping cream
  • 1 8 oz sweetened heavy whipping cream


  • Make jello according to directions less 1/2 cup water – you can also substitute some of the cherry juice for the water
  • Whip 1 container cream but do not add sugar
  • When jello is slightly firm, fold in whipping cream and cherries
  • Pour into jello mold or baking dish
  • Serve with sweetened whipping cream
