Crock-Pot Grits

Serves 6 | Prep Time 5 minutes | Cook Time 8 hours

Ingredients

1 cup stone-ground grits
5 cups room-temperature water
2 T butter
1⁄2 t salt


Cover grits with cold water; stir until chaff floats to the surface. Skim off chaff; drain grits. Put grits, 5 cups water, butter and salt into a crockpot. Cover and cook on low until grits are soft and creamy, 8 hours. Adjust seasonings.
