Crock-Pot Grits

  • Servings: 6
  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • 1 cup stone-ground grits
  • 5 cups room-temperature water
  • 2 T butter
  • 1⁄2 t salt

DIRECTIONS

Cover grits with cold water; stir until chaff floats to the surface. Skim off chaff; drain grits. Put grits, 5 cups water, butter and salt into a crockpot. Cover and cook on low until grits are soft and creamy, 8 hours. Adjust seasonings.
