Crockpot Chicken and Noodles
3-4 boneless,skinless chicken breasts
4 cups chicken broth
1/4-1/2 cups butter
1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 (10 oz.) pkg. wide egg noodles
1 cup frozen peas (optional)
1 cup sliced carrots (optional)
Put all ingredients, except noodles and peas, in crockpot.
Cook on low 5-6 hours or on high 3-3 1/2 hours.
Remove chicken from broth and tear into bite sized pieces.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Turn cooker to high and add noodles when broth is hot and bubbly.
Cook 30-45 minutes, or until noodles are done, stirring occasionally.
Add chicken back into broth and noodles. Add peas (if using)and continue cooking until dish is heated through and peas are tender.
A comforting and delicious dish to serve on these crisp Autumn days. Any leftovers make a great base for chicken pot pie.
