Crustless Apple Pie

Ingredients

Filling:
6-7 apples (peeled, cored and sliced into 1/8's)
1 Cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 Cup water
Topping:
6 T butter
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup flour
1 tsp baking powder


Filling:


In heavy saucepan mix together sugar and cinnamon, add water and apples.


Stir to coat apples and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.


Bring to a boil; boil 10 minutes.


Put cooked appole mixture into a greased 9 inch pie plate.


Topping:


Sift together flour and baking powder.


Set aside.


Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.


Gradually add flour/baking powder mix. Mix together well. (Mixture will be moist and crumbly.)


Put topping over apples.


Use all of the topping.


Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.


Note: The pie will run over when baking. Put foil under the pie plate.
