Currant Chicken

Serves 4 | Prep Time | Cook Time

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter
1 broiler-fryer, cut up
1 tsp salt
1 cup red-currant jelly
1/2 cup white cooking wine
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup, mayo


Melt butter in skillet. Add chicken and sprinkle on both sides with salt. Brown chicken over medium heat. Melt jelly in saucepan, add wine and sour cream and mix well. Pour over chicken. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hr. Baste occasionally with sauce. Turn once during cooking.
