  • 1 750 ml bottle red wine (preferably Charles Shaw :)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 large meyer lemon, sliced
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1/4 c Triple Sec
  • 1 t grated ginger
  • 1/2 t lemon zest


  • Combine oj, sugar, ginger, lemon zest and triple sec in pitcher
  • Add lemon slices, mash and stir
  • Add wine to mixture
  • Allow to stand overnight and serve


My mom does a bunko night for her charity group that my dad somehow became the official bartender for the event. This sangria became his personal project to "perfect" and this is the result!
