DADDY'S FAMOUS MISO SALMON

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs salmon filets about 1” thick
  • 1/2 c shiro miso
  • 1 c best foods mayo
  • 1/2 c mirin
  • 1/2 c soy sauce
  • 1/2 c sugar

Directions

  • whisk all ingredients (except fish!) together
  • spread layer of sauce on bottom of baking dish
  • place salmon filets one layer thick over sauce
  • spread rest of sauce over fish, cover with foil
  • bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes
  • remove foil and broil for about 15 minutes or until top is golden brown

Notes

When dad made this up, it was an instant hit. Then it took about 3 years of harassment to get him to finally write down the recipe - now everyone in the family makes it
