Why I Love This Recipe

This recipe has been in my family for 7 generations and has been used in dishes at almost every family gathering ever in the history of our family.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 cans tomato paste (Heterogeneous)
1 cup basil(Heterogeneous)
1/4 cup salt(NaCL) (Pure substance)
1/4 cup pepper(Heterogeneous)
1/2 cup onions(Heterogeneous)
1/2 cup garlic(Heterogeneous)
1/8 cup vegetable oil(Homogeneous)
1 cup water(H20) (Pure substance)
1/10 cup Himalayan salt(Homogeneous)
1/10 cup sugar (C12H22O11) (Pure substance)


Directions

Put vegetable oil on pot on low boil


add in water and Himalayan salt


Start simmering garlic and onions in pot after salt has dissolved (Chem. change)


Wait until the garlic and onions golden brown before putting in tomatoes (Phys. change)


turn burner on high and add in 1 cup of basil


Add spices (salt/pepper) and after sauce starts to break down let cook for 5 hours (Chem. change)


about two hours into cooking add in sugar after sauce is almost completely broken down, color should change (Phys. change)


stirring every 30 minutes
