Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup sour cream
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 375 degrees.


Spray baking sheets with cooking spay.


Cream shortening and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.


Beat in eggs, sour crean and vanilla.


Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt on waxed paper.


Add to bowl; mix well.


Stir chocolate chips into bowl; do not overmix.


Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.


Bake cookies until puffed, about 10 minutes; cool on baking sheets.


Place on wire racks to cool completely.
