- Cooking Time: approximately 15 minutes
- Servings: 16
- Preparation Time: 5 minutes
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup of mayonaise
- Combine all ingredients except mayonaise in a sauce pan. Heat and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. The sauce will thicken. Remove form heat and allow to cool. Then stir in 1 cup of mayonaise.
NotesMy mom used this recipe when I was growing up. I think she got it from a friend. It is at least 50 years old.
