• Cooking Time: 15-20
  • Servings: About 4
  • Preparation Time: 5

  • 2 cups Jiffy mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • At least 4 cups chicken broth
  • Chicken or Turkey pieces
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • First, bring the broth to a boil. Then mix the milk and Jiffy mix until well combined. Working quickly, drop quarter-size pieces of the dough into the boiling broth. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. They may boil over, so keep an eye on them and tilt the lid a little to let out steam if necessary. Next, uncover the pot and simmer for another 5-10 minutes more. Salt and pepper the dumplings to taste. You may either add the chicken or turkey pieces to the dumplings or serve them on the side.

There are three dough options you can choose from: canned biscuits, homemade biscuit dough, or dough made with Jiffy mix. The preferred dough is Jiffy mix, which is cheaper, easier, and less messy than homemade and cooks better and has a better texture than canned biscuits. So this recipe lists the ingredients and instructions for Jiffy mix dumplings.
