Dutch Apple Pie by Sandra Henley

Ingredients

Crust:
1 1/2 sticks butter melted
1 1/2 c flour
.
Filling:
6 large Granny Smith apples
1/2 stick butter
1 c sugar
1 t cinnamon

Crumb Topping:
3/4 c flour
1/2 stick butter
3 T sugar
cinnamon to taste
dash of vanilla


For crust:


mix ingredients and pat into pie pan.



For filling:


Peel and slice apples, put in a large pot with butter, sugar, and cinnamon.


Steam until apples are soft.


Pour filling into crust.



For topping:


Mix ingredients together and crumble over filling.


Bake in preheated 400 degree oven. After 10 minutes reduce heat to 375 degrees, bake for 45 minutes more. Cool on a wire rack.
