1 qt. dill pickles (I've used kosher-type and they work just as well!)
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cidr vinegar
3 sinnamon stix
8 whole cloves

Empty juice from pickles and cut them into chunks. In jar, mix together all ingredients. Return pickle chunks to jar and invert jar several times to coat with the syrup. Refrigerate, remembering to shake the jar every day to dissolve the sugar. Do this for 10 days and voilá, sweet pickles!

Pairs Well With

Not much of a fan for sweet pickles, I will admit that when I first tasted these, I had to change my mind!! I guess I just never had any that were very good. LOL Anyway, since it's almost time to start canning pickles, if you have any old jars left that you're not sure what to do with them? Consider trying this recipe to give them a second life, so to speak!! :o) BTW, I usually 'have to start taste-testing these on day 5!!! LOL
