Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 cup rolled oats (quick cook)
  • medium bag of coconut

Directions

  • Mix in the order given and bake 10 minutes at 350° F.

Notes

These are my very favorite cookies! I got this recipe from my Grandma, who got it from an Australian friend living at Eagle Lake in California. The recipe had no name, so she just named it after her lake.
