Easy Black Forest Torte
4 to 5 cups mini marshmallows
1 pkg. (18 1/4 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling, keeping out 1 tablespoon
1 carton (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Sprinkle marshmallows in a greased 13x9" baking pan.
Prepare cake batter according to package directions.
Pour over marshmallows.
Spoon pie filling over batter.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Frost with whipped topping.
Take remaining 1 tablespoon of pie filling an place in center of frosted cake.
Store in refrigerator.
