Easy Caramel Frosting
1/2 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Melt butter in heavy saucepan, add brown sugar and cook over low until sugar dissolves (do not boil). Remove from heat.
Stir in cream, add sugar and vanilla.
Beat on high until frosting is smooth and spreadable.
