Why I Love This Recipe

Fresh or canned peaches are good in place of apples for a change.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 can (10) big size buttermilk
biscuits
6 to 8 c. apples, peel and
slice
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3 to 4 Tbsp. flour
margarine

Directions

Peel and slice apples; add 1 cup or more of water; simmer until tender, but not overdone and dry.

Mix sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon together. Pull each biscuit apart in 3 round parts, using 1/2 of them to cover bottom of 13 x 9-inch baking dish, which has been greased.

Sprinkle about 1/3 of sugar mixture over these and dot with margarine.

Stir rest of sugar mixture into cooked apples with at least 1/2 cup liquid left in them.

Pour apples over bottom of layer of biscuit

pieces.

Using other 1/2 of biscuit pieces, place in layer over the apples; dot each with margarine and sprinkle with extra sugar.

Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees, then lower heat to 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and done.
