Easy Macaroni and Cheese
1/2 pound macaroni
1 tsp butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
1 cup milk
3 cups grated sharp cheese
Boil macaroni in water until tender; drain thoroughly. Add in butter
and egg, stirring constantly so egg doesn't set up. Mix salt and
mustard with 1 Tablespoon of water, then add to the milk. Add cheese
to milk mixture, reserving enough to sprinkle on top. Pour macaroni
into buttered casserole dish; add the milk mixture. Mix thoroughly
and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until custard is set and
top is crusty.
