1 C butter, softened
3 C sugar
3 C flour
1/4 t baking soda
1 C buttermilk
1 t vanilla
Preheat oven to 325.
Grease and flour bundt pan.
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time, beat well.
Combine flour and soda.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla.
Pour into pan.
Bake for approximately 70 minutes.
Cool in pan on rack for at least 30 minutes, invert onto cake plate.
Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
