Easy Swiss Steak

Ingredients

2 pounds boneless chuck roast
½ cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 medium bottle ketchup
½ cup water


1. Place flour, salt, and cayenne pepper in large resealable plastic bag; mix well. Add roast to bag and


shake vigorously to coat well.


2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown roast on both sides. Reduce heat to


simmer, put ketchup over top of roast, and add water to thin the liquid. Cover and cook for 1½ hours,


turning and adding more ketchup and water as needed.


3. Serve over hot rice.
