EASY OVERNIGHT FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE

Easy overnight french toast casserole

I really like this recipe because I can make it the night before and just pop it in the oven the next morning - go back to sleep and wake up to yummy crusty sticky-bunesqe quality french toast

  • 1 Loaf French bread, 1 1/2" slices
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 T vanilla

DIRECTIONS

melt butter and add brown sugar to saucepan simmer until sugar is dissolved


layer bread in 9x12 casserole dish


beat eggs, then add vanilla and milk and pour mixture over bread


spread butter and sugar mixture over bread


cover with foil and put in fridge overnight


next morning, preheat oven to 350


put in covered dish for 30 min


uncover dish and cook for another 30-45 minutes or until tops of bread is crusty and egg is set.
