Why I Love This Recipe

I really like this recipe because I can make it the night before and just pop it in the oven the next morning - go back to sleep and wake up to yummy crusty sticky-bunesqe quality french toast

Ingredients You'll Need

1 Loaf French bread, 1 1/2" slices
1 stick butter
3/4 c brown sugar
1 1/2 c milk
4 eggs
2 T vanilla

melt butter and add brown sugar to saucepan simmer until sugar is dissolved

layer bread in 9x12 casserole dish

beat eggs, then add vanilla and milk and pour mixture over bread

spread butter and sugar mixture over bread

cover with foil and put in fridge overnight

next morning, preheat oven to 350

put in covered dish for 30 min

uncover dish and cook for another 30-45 minutes or until tops of bread is crusty and egg is set.
