Elaine Mazur's Barbecued Beans
3 Large cans or 6 small cans of baked beans fav flavor
2 yellow cooking onions chopped
About 1/4 cup Ketchup
1 tsp mustard
About 3/4 cup light brown sugar (2 handfuls or more is how I measure it to taste)
*Option: One of my variants uses green peppers and 1/2 can pineapple tid bits/ or crushed and sweetened. I call it Hawaiian Barbecued Beans
*Opt: 1 can butter beans strained
Mix all Ingredients together and bake at 375 until most of liquid is gone.
Stir once in awhile so they don't burn
*NOTE: The beans thicken while cooling so don't over cook!
