EVERLASTING SLAW

Ingredients

  • 3lbs. cabbage
  • 1 pod of sweet pepper
  • 1 med. size onion
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar

Directions

  • Chop; Cabbage, pepper, onion.
  • Mix with 3 tablespoons salt.
  • Let stand 15 minutes.
  • Squeeze out water.
  • Mix with sugar and vinegar.
  • Put in a covered dish- Let stand 24 hours.

Notes

This recipe was given to me by my Father, I don't know where he got it.

It's very good if you like your slaw a little tangy.
