Everyday Chocolate Loaf Cake
1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup Dutch processed cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 325 and grease and flour loaf pan
In small bowl sift flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
In large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer cream butter until smooth.
Add sugars and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add dry ingredients in three parts alternating with buttermilk and vanilla.
Pour into pan.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 60-70 minutes.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
