There's a great lemon-lime cookie in the Betty Crocker Cookie Cookbook. These cookies go nicely with them for a summer (or Yule) party.

Cookies

1 1/2 c sugar

1 c butter

1 c sour cream

2 eggs

4 c all purpose flour

1 t baking soda

1 t baking powder

1/2 t salt

2/3 c orange juice*

3 T orange zest

Frosting

1/4 c butter

2 c powdered sugar

2-3 T orange juice*

1 T orange zest

*I like Simply Orange; it balances the sweetness & doesn't add extra sugar; fresh is ideal, since you need the zest anyway

Oven at 375

1. Cream butter & sugars

2. Add sour cream & eggs. Beat well.

3. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, OJ & zest. Mix well.

4. Drop rounded teaspoons or use cookie scoop to place on cookie sheet.

5. Bake 8-11 minutes (edges will be light golden brown)

For frosting:

Beat all ingredients until smooth. Frost warm cookies.

Yields about 6 dozen large cookies.
