FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

Flourless Chocolate Brownies

I got this recipe originally from the Nigella Express book, but made a few changes....

INGREDIENTS

  • 225g Dark Chocolate (i used green and blacks 80% cocoa)
  • 225g Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 200g Caster Sugar
  • 3 Eggs (beaten)
  • 150g ground almonds
  • 100g chopped walnuts ( i substituted these for pitachios as i hate walnuts, it worked just as well)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 170/ gas mark 3.


Step 2; Melt chocolate and butter gently over and low heat in a heavy based pan.


Step 3; Take the pan off the heat, mix in the vanilla and sugar, and let it cool.


Step 4; beat the eggs into the pan along with all the nuts, turn into a 24cm square baking tin, or use a foil one, as its easier to get them out once they are cooked!


Step 5; Bake for 25-30 mins (i baked for 45 mins, but my oven is rubbish so i suggest to keep checking)


after 30 mins the top will be cooked but the underneath with be deliciously gooey.


once cooler, cut into 16 yummy gooey chocolatey sqaures
