Freezer pickles

My aunt made these and they are great for summer time bar-b-q.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 c. cucumbers,washed and sliced thin(do not peel)
  • 1/4 c. pickling salt
  • 1c. onions,sliced thin
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
    •

DIRECTIONS

Place cucumbers,onions, and salt in glass bowl,soak for one hour. Press all liquid from cucumbers and onions. Place in a glass bowl and add remaining ingredients.Put in refrigerator overnight.Put in freezer containers and freeze. DO NOT use a metal bowl.
