French Apple Tart
1 stick unsalted butter softened
1 cup sugar (plus one teaspoon for top of cake)
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3 granny smith apples
Grease bottom of springform pan; set aside
Combine flour, sugar, butter, baking powder & egg. Press onto bottom of springform pan (mixture will be sticky). Peel, core and slice apples, you want thin slices. From outer edge of pan, place apple slices in a circular pattern. Overlap them. Top with cinnamon and teaspoon of sugar..
Bake 375 for 60 minutes. People go crazy over this. Easy and delicious.
