3 onions, thinly sliced
¼ cup butter
2 cans beef broth
½ cup water
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 slices French bread, toasted
4 slices Swiss cheese
Directions
In a saucepan, cook onions in butter until onions safe tender. Add broth, water and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 25 minutes.
Spoon into bowls. Place a piece of French bread in each bowl, top with Swiss cheese and broil until cheese melts.
