Frosted Brownies

Serves | Prep Time | Cook Time 65 to 70

Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening
2 squares chocolate
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 Tbs. Karo syrup
3/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

FROSTING:
Melt:
3 Tbs. Butter
Add:
2/3 box powdered sugar
2 Tbs. Cocoa
1-1/2 tsp. Vanilla
2 Tbs. Milk (maybe need more
Beat until smooth.

FROSTING FOR DOUBLE BATCH:
4-1/2 Tbs. Butter
1 box powdered sugar
3 Tbs. Cocoa
2 tsp. Vanilla
3 Tbs. Milk



Melt shortening, take off heat, and add chocolate. Beat eggs, add Sugar, chocolate mixture, and Karo. Add dry ingredients, vanilla, And nuts.


Pour into greased 8x8" pan.


Bake at 350 for 35-40


Minutes.


Frost when cool.


I usually double the batch.


Put in 11x15" pan and bake 30 minutes.
