- 1 1/2 C. sugar
- 2 C. flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 C. Fruit Cocktail with juice
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- dash salt
- 1/2 C. brown sugar
- 1 stick of butter
- 3/4 C. sugar
- 1/2 C. Evaporated Milk
- 3/4 C.- 1 C. nuts (I prefer walnuts)
- 1/2 C. coconut
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- Mix all cake ingredients together, except brown sugar, and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the batter. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
- Combine all icing ingredients except the vanilla and boil in a saucepan for 4 minutes. Add vanilla and pour over warm cake
NotesThis is a recipe from a sweet lady from my church...it is the most moist cake I have ever eaten!
