Fudge Oatmeal Cookies
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 (2 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup pecans
Chocolate chips or raisins (optional)
Put Eagle Brand milk, chocolate and water in heavy pan over low heat. Stir constantly until mixture thickens and no longer runs from spoon, about 10 to 14 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, blend in oats and pecans.
Let stand 15 minutes. If adding raisins or chocolate chips, fold them in).
Drop by teaspoon onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees until firm, bottoms brown, about 10 minutes.
Remove quickly from baking sheet.
