4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. any flavor gelatin
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift flour with baking powder. Cream butter; add sugar and gelatin, creaming well after each addition.
Add egg and vanilla, beat well.
Gradually add flour mixture, mixing until smooth.
For really pretty cookies, use cookie press.
For really easy cookies, roll into balls (1 teaspoon each) and flatten slightly (a meat mallet works well and is fast).
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown on the bottom
