Gentlemen's Cake

Ingredients

CAKE:
11 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup hazelnuts, ground
3 tablespoons cocoa
CRANBERRY CREAM:
16 ounces can cranberries
Cool Whip


Beat butter until creamy. Slowly add sugar, vanilla and eggs (one at a time) and continue beating until achieving a creamy texture. In a separate container, mix ground hazelnuts, cocoa and baking powder and slowly add it to the mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time. Pour the dough into a springform pan and bake at 400 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. All to cool in the pan. Before serving, but cake in half to make 2 circles and fill with Cranberry Cream. Decorate cake by spreading whipped cream around the sides and piping a pattern on top.
