Why I Love This Recipe

I was helping to write a cookbook for my church and I ran into a dilema about which pecan pie recipe to use. I have 6 different ones and they all looked wonderful. My mom pulled out a very old postcard that she had received from a friend many years ago. It had this recipe on the back and I haven't had to wonder which recipe to use ever since because this one is simply the best! Even the beginner baker doesn't have to be afraid to try this one, it's that simple and delicious.

Ingredients You'll Need

3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 c. pecan halves (try not to break them up)
1-9" deep dish, unbaked pie shell

Directions

Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar, dash of salt, corn syrup and melted butter. Add pecans (gently). Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
