GERMAN APPLE CAKE

Ingredients

  • 2 c granulated sugar
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 t cinnamon
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 4 1/2 c pared,sliced or diced apples
  • 1 c chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 c veg oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 t vanilla

Directions

  • Grease and flour 9x13 pan. Heat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients except the last three in a large bowl. Beat the last three till foamy.Add to dry ingredients and stir to combine. Bake 45-50 min.
  • Icing 6 oz cream cheese,3 Tmetled butter, 1 t vanilla, 3 c powdered sugar Whip with mixer till thick and spread on cake.
