German Chocolate Sheet Cake
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream
When cool frost:
Melt: 1 stick butter
1/4 cup cocoa
6 Tbs. milk
Add: 1 box confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chooped walnuts
Sift 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt together.
Melt together and mix the following, 2 sticks of butter, 1/4 cup cocoa powder and 1 cup of water.
Add this to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Finally add to batter the following,
1 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup sour cream, 2 eggs slightly beaten.
Spread evenly in greased jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides) Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until top springs back when lightly touched with a finger.
