GERMAN RED CABBAGE
German Red Cabbage

INGREDIENTS
- 1 onion diced
- 1 head of red cabbage
- 3 to 4 whole cloves
- 2 to 3 Bay leaves
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- a dash of salt
- 1to 2 cups of sugar, to taste
- 1 cup white vinegar, or to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a large pot, sauté onions until tender. Add the remaining ingredients into the pot. Cook over a low to medium flame until cabbage is soft, approximately 1 hour. Adjust flavor by adding vinegar and/or sugar according to taste. Rosie liked her cabbage sour.
