Gingerbread House Glue aka Royal Frosting
1 lb. powdered (confectioner's) sugar
4 T. meringue powder, or 3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
dash of salt
7 T. water
Sift powdered sugar and cream of tartar.
Combine all ingredients and whip 8 minutes at high speed in electric mixer.
Keep bowl covered with damp cloth, preventing icing from hardening while you work.
