- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup pure molasses
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 cups plain flour
- Cream sugar and margarine.
- Add beaten eggs, molasses, and milk.
- Stir dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Bake in greased and floured pan in a 350F oven for 30 minutes or until tests done.
- Best served with fresh whipped cream
