Gma Sally's Quicky Sticky Buns

Serves 24-30 | Prep Time 70-80 | Cook Time 12-15

Ingredients

3/4 cup milk, scalded
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup softened butter
3 1/4 cup flour
2 packets active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 egg

Topping:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp light corn syrup
1 tsp water


In a large bowl, combine the milk, sugar, salt and butter. Stir until butter is melted Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add yeast and egg to the milk mixture. Add two cups flour, beat until smooth. Gradually blend in remaining 1 1/4 cup flour to form a soft dough. Cover; let rise in warm place until light and doubled in size, about 30 minutes.



While dough is rising, prepare the topping. Combine all topping ingredients in sauce pan over low heat until butter melts and mixture is syrupy.



Spoon the topping into 24-30 well-greased muffin cups. Stir down dough. Drop dough into muffin cups. Cover; let rise until light - about 30 minutes. Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes. Cool 1 minute then invert onto wire rack.
