Gotta have it Chicken or Pork Fried Rice

Why I Love This Recipe

My son LOVES fried rice. I told him I won a Cookbook contest many years back with my recipe. It's one of my most requested recipes!


Ingredients You'll Need

2 small containers or onel large container of Leftover white rice from Chinese Restaurant (best to use this it's sticky and fries really well)
Leftover Chicken Cutlets or Pork chop diced small
2 cloves Garlic minced
Sesame Oil 1 Tablespoon (more will be needed)
1 TAblespoon Sesame seeds (add at the end)
3 Scallions
1 piece candied Ginger minced
1 Egg scramble before putting into pan
sweet Peas (1/2 can)
Teriyaki Sauce (I'd say 1/4 cup to start but you may need to add more)


Directions

Use a non stick skillet for this recipe medium flame.


Heat sesame oil in the pan


Add Scallions Garlic and ginger and cok till soft


Add egg to this mixture and scramble in the pan.


Push these ingredients to the side and add more sesame oil


add the ice and "fry" it till a little browned.


Once "browned from the sesame oil, sprinkle with the Teriyaki sauce (1/4 cup) a little at a time till incorporated into the rice. Add Peas, whatever protein (meat/chicken, pork) heat through and continue to "fry" until all browned and toasty. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and SERVE!
