- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup shortening
- 4 Tbsp. water
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1. Cream shortening and add sugar.
- 2. Add eggs, then water and flavorings.
- 3. Blend in flour, soda, and salt.
- 4. Stir in oatmeal.
- 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
