Grandma Kerr's Pumpkin Pie
1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin or mashed cooked pumpkin
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2-1 tsp. ginger
1-1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4-1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4-1/2 tsp. cloves
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/4 cup milk
1- 6 oz. can evaporated milk
1 deep pie shell frozen or 2 shallow pie shells frozen
Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, and spices.
Add eggs, milk, and evaporated milk.
Pour into 9 inch pie shell.
Bake in a pre-heated 400* oven for 50 minutes.
Use first measurement for golden, mildly spiced pie.
Use second measurement for a richly spiced pie.
For pecan pumpkin pie, sprinkle 3 tbsp. of pecans on top before baking.
