Why I Love This Recipe

These will blow your mind, I have been making these for years and I recently started making it like Granola, great option with this recipe. All the ingredients in these are good for you and I try to buy as much organic items as possible. You will love these and your kids will to and they wont even now how good they are for them.

When you eat these you don't get hungry for hours.


Ingredients You'll Need

2 Cups Rolled Oats
1 Cup Almonds Chopped
1 Cup Coconut
1/2 Cup Toasted Wheat Germ
3 Tbsp. Butter
2/3 Cup Raw Honey
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract (watch my video on making your own)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 Cup Dates or Raisins , Whatever you prefer
1/2 Cup Cranberries
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds


Directions

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees


Take a Cookie Sheet and Toast Oats, Almonds, Sunflower Seeds, Coconut, Wheat Germ(you can buy this already toasted) about 12 minutes, Keep your eye on this, the coconut will turn nice and brown and can burn in minutes if unwatched. Remove from oven and put in a large bowl with your Dates and Cranberries


Reduce Oven to 300 Degrees


In small sauce pan, melt butter, honey, brown sugar, vanilla, salt and bring to a boil, boil 1 minute and pour over all your ingredients mix well to coat.


Dump into a pan lined with Parchment paper, (Do not make these without the Parchment paper, trust me it is a nightmare) the pan I use is a little smaller than a 9x13, Wet your hand and press down ingredients are hard as you can, I also push down on ingredients when it comes out of oven.


Bake 22 minutes and cool 3 hours before cutting, When baking is done just lift out with the edges of the Parchment Paper and put on a rack.


If you cook as just Granola, cook it in a thin layer 20 minutes, Cool and break up into pieces. I eat this some days like cereal, in bowl with milk. So Good!
