2 lbs. rolled oats
2 c. shredded coconut
2 c. nuts (almonds, chopped are preferred)
2 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. oil
2/3 c. water
3 Tbsps. vanilla
1 1/2 c. honey
3 c. raisins, chopped dried apricots, dates, or other similar dried fruit in any combination
Combine oats, coconut, nuts, and wheat germ in large container. Combine oil, water, vanilla, and honey in a separate bowl then mix with cereal mixture until well coated.
Divide into two 9x13 in. pans. Bake at 250F for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 min. When cool, add dried fruits and store in airtight container. Yields: 5 lbs.
